The V.C Bird International Airport runway was closed this morning for emergency repairs following an incident yesterday.
An aircraft blew away a section of the runway, leading to the closure.
Emergency and maintenance vehicles, including heavy-duty equipment, were deployed for assessment and repairs.
Authorities inspected the runway yesterday to assess the aircraft’s damage. Efforts are underway to restore full functionality to the runway promptly.

Excuse me – the JET BLAST tore up the runway. It seems the top surface has been broken and delaminated for sometime!!
