The Venezuelan Simón Bolívar Training Ship, dubbed “The Ambassador Without Borders,” has arrived in Antigua and Barbuda on its Caribbean Alliance 2025 tour. Docking in St. John’s, the ship’s visit highlights the ongoing diplomatic and historical relationship between the two nations.

Antiguan officials praised the arrival, noting the importance of such exchanges in fostering peace and collaboration across the Caribbean.

  1. This look like an old antique ship, is history repeating itself? In 1982 or so a set a young men were taken up to be trained to be sea men, the old ship not sea worthy for the USA went out to Bermuda channel side and sunk killing nearly all with only one surviver from willikies Village , and he is ignored by the same ALP government to this day, something should name after him, because he sam night and day between Bermuda and new York until rescued.

  3. Ship is on a trip to promote peace but still making maneuvers against Guyana in the disputed Essequibo region. This move was to cement support from the Caribbean after Secretary of State promised to use force against Venezuela should they ever attack Guyana. It’s called strategic play.
