Loop News – A 47-year-old US Virgin Islands man was arrested and charged in connection with his brother’s murder.
The Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) reported Richard Liverpool was charged with murder in the first degree, assault in the first degree, assault in the third degree, unauthorised use of a firearm during a crime of violence in relation to the shooting death his of older brother Steave over the weekend.
VIPD said it received reports of gunshots being fired at a residence in Estate Thomas, St Thomas.
Upon arrival, cops found Steave unresponsive lying on the ground. He was shot multiple times.
“While on the scene, law enforcement received information that the victim’s brother, Richard Liverpool [allegedly] shot and killed him,” VIPD said in a statement.
This incident took the USVI’s murder toll to 22.
Police said Richard’s bail was set at $1,000,000.00.
