UPP Political Leader accepts invitation to St Lucia Cabinet Swearing In Ceremony

15

Political Leader of the United Progressive Party (UPP) Harold Lovell is in St. Lucia to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new St. Lucia Labour Party (SLP) Cabinet.

The invitation was extended by Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre following his party’s resounding victory in the General Elections on July 26.

Both Lovell and Pierre worked well when the two of them served as Ministers of Tourism for their respective countries.

Following the SLP’s victory last week, Lovell sent a congratulatory message to its leader noting, “Your overwhelming success confirms the confidence the electorate has vested in your party at a time when the region and, indeed, the Western World are looking for leadership that takes The People into account.”

Lovell will be among a number of dignitaries from the Caribbean who have been invited to attend the Investiture Ceremony which takes place on Thursday, August 05.

  1. These two look like twins!!! Since when is Lovell a “dignitary”? He holds NO public office and has been kicked to the curb by the voters over and over again. What a mess.

    • Jamale Pringle is the DULY ELECTED Leader of Her Majestys Loyal Opposition. Yet his own party continue to undermine and belittle him!!!

      • Pringle is the opposition leader because he ran in a seat that was bluer than a sunny sea. In fact he lost the seat by winning this sure seat by 10. That is the seat that Lovell should have run in if he had any sense. I know the branch people offered it to him. I was outside the meeting listening. But he said he loved City East. Anybody could have won the seat for UPP. Lovell is the party leader, not Pringle. Opposition leader ain;t come anywhere near party leader. So you all must stop it.
Nobody thinks UPP belittle Pringle. Pringle is who he is. Maybe you are saying so to get him to change ship, but we have enough UPP people over here. We don’t want no more.

      • WELL WELL WELL it is not leaders of opposition that are invited to attend the swearing in of a new government but rather leaders of government. Harold being invited by Prime Minister Phillip Pierre to the swearing in of his Cabinet shows the deep bond and friendship that exist between Harold and Pierre.

        • @ CHARLESWORTH TABOR

Tabor will jump over a cliff to defend Lovell . Tabor you sound very annoying with your STUPID excuses for Lovell. All your excuses will get you nowhere. This Guy believes Lovell can walk on water. Remember $ 49,000,000 cost OVERRUN for the AIRPORT RUNWAY. 1735 is waiting.

  2. Sorry that Harold Lovell would not be able to invite Hon. Philip Pierre to Antigua because Lovell would not win in 2023.

  3. JOHN.P.K like your comrade ERIC (THE RED) and his usual ridiculous prediction you might be given a big surprise.

    • Charles, Don’t get your hopes up. There is simply no way Lovell can defeat such an overwhelmingly popular Labour Party. Maybe then they will finally replace Lovell with a new leader. This is his last fight. Besides, he is aging out.

    • @ CHARLESWORTH TABOR

I agree with ERIC ( THE RED ) prediction of the outcome for ELECTION 2023. ALL 17 seats for ABLP.

  4. @ CHARLESWORTH TABOR

Tabor what are you going to do after the 2023 election when Lovell lose His seat and the UPP IMPLODED !!!!!.
UPP should fire for BAD advice.

    • ERIC (THE RED) maybe the question should correctly be what are you, JUST SAYING, FROM THE SIDELINE, PETE, BEEF, TENMAN, T.M.LARTON and CARSON B going to do when the ALP is booted out of office.
