UPP MP Denies PM’s Allegations, Plans Defamation Suit Over “Kill Gang Members” Claim

St George MP Algernon Watts has denied Prime Minister Gaston Browne’s claims that he called for police to kill gang members. Watts demanded proof and announced plans to sue for defamation.

Opposition leader Jamale Pringle backed Watts, stating, “We categorically deny any statements suggesting that gang members should be killed by police.” Pringle called the accusations baseless and urged the Prime Minister to provide evidence or retract his statements.

The United Progressive Party (UPP) condemned Browne’s comments as false and inflammatory, pledging full support to Watts in his legal efforts.

Pringle highlighted Browne’s past remarks advocating retaliation against police attackers and deportation of law-breaking non-nationals, accusing the Prime Minister of reverse psychology and attempting to make UPP members targets.

The UPP leadership has urged Police Commissioner Atlee Rodney to address what they consider dangerous rhetoric from Browne, warning that it could incite violence against UPP representatives. “This is a serious matter,” Pringle stressed, calling for action from responsible authorities.

  1. Seriously UPP do you all realize you all put more problems saying these things a they part of your ganged Members if he will Ted to kill them he could do it while he was in a meeting with them why put people on an u Co.fotale sleeping mood donseness

  2. Gullible-extremely foolish person who is quick to believe everything and is a labourite.

Gastonite- a person who worships Gastoon and would never condemn the wrong he does because they are benefiting financially, physically or emotionally.
These people love the created and not the creator, They spiritually and politically blinded and full of hypocrisy.

  3. So so predictable by Gaston Browne – I can read him like a comic book!

I knew at some point that the Prime Minister was going to deflect and somehow project the UPP as the “bad guys”.

Browne isn’t dealing with the growing gang situation in the correct manner – especially after his strong speech to try and curtail them.

The Most Honourable Algernon ‘Serpent’ Watts is now his main target, so that it hides the fact that the ABLP has made the wrong moves by appeasing with both sets of gangs; and Serpent is now part of Browne’s deflectionary tactics. Simple!

Don’t believe me, then go back and listen to the PM’S original address to the nation about crime and gangs, l and how his government was going to deal with it; and then fast forward to his “back-tracking reality to-date.

    WHAT A BIG BIG DIFFERENCE!

Again, the Prime Minister deflecting to the UPP and/or their members was definitely the cards …

Browne should have used the obvious BIPARTISAN approach and reached out to the UPP to help resolve this ever growing gang menace.

I SUPPPOSE ANTIGUANS ARE CURRENTLY REAPING WHAT THEY SOWED AT THE LAST GENERAL ELECTION …

  6. @ Sharon Lycorish, with respect, you obviously didn’t pay attention to Gaston Browne’s original address to the nation, or you would have noted that what he opined then just doesn’t match up now.

I DON’T UNDERSTAND ALL THIS “BLIND” WORSHIP FOR GASTON BROWNE – IT JUST DOESN’T MAKE ANY SENSE … WEIRD!!!
