The man found hanging in John Hughes this morning had been complaining on constant pain.
The 72-year-old man lived with his wife and a female caretaker.
Sources told Antigua News Room that the man had recurring pneumonia and suffered a stroke about six months ago.
He was last seen alive about 7 p.m. on Tuesday. About 6:30 this morning when his wife called him for his breakfast he did not answer. The elderly couple shared separate bedrooms.
When he did not come to breakfast they went to check on him he was found in a closet.
Police are treating the death as a suicide.
