The Antigua & Barbuda Transport Board has announced that in order to access services at its facility, Public Service Vehicle Operators must be fully vaccinated.

General Manager of Transport Board, Hubert Jarvis said in a memo that persons must show evidence or proof of being fully vaccinated against the covid-19 virus.

He said the requirements are in keeping with “a recent Cabinet decision pertaining to the coronavirus problem/crisis”.

  1. Then people not vaccinated cannot be charged for driving without a license if you can’t provide a different ultimatum for the unvaccinated

    • @sample, The article reference public service vehicles like buses and taxi but they may want to go further soon.

I know the bus drivers and taxi association don’t take thinks lying down like that so we will see where that goes.

Antigua in Crisis – are we becoming little Haiti?

  2. So is it they they don’t want them entering the building or they dont want them to have a license. What alternate procedures have been put in place for thise who don’t want to end up like Eric Clapton?

  3. the vaccine does not stop the spread of the virus. so what’s the purpose of the vaccine again?

  4. Black man take your Black knees off the necks of the Black man. This is a discriminatory move by the Transport Board. The Taxi and Bus Operators should challenged it in the Courts,up to the Privy Council,if needed.

Why do they have to go to the Office. They should be able to renew their licenses on line. If the Transport Board is now saying. They should be Vaccinated in order to go to that Office. Shouldn’t all of their customers be Vaccinated also. Before they are picked up to be transported. Today it is Taxi and Bus Drivers. Tomorrow it is going to be all of us. When that happens there would be thousands of drivers in Antigua and Barbuda driving without Licenses. Because some folks would not be Vaccinated. If this Transport Board matter go forward.
