4. Kinda like the idea of it being used for something else. Personally prefer flat car parks around the place – much more efficient for getting in and out quickly if you’re not planning to spend the day in town.Kinda does look like an office complex. Don’t know if we need more offices though? Maybe can house some of those government workers whose buildings are non-functional or some of those still renting from the private sector. Don’t know if would want Ministries etc. at that location though? Maybe a new police station?

6. This govt is a joke. As I have written many times before, we are losing out on thousands of dollars a day just for bad mindedness and political immaturity. All those cars parked everyday around the structure could be providing much needed income. Not to mention the office spaces and the car park proper.
   As I have always said and deeply believe, once ABLP takes power,their focus shifts to killing everything the other side did, even if it means cutting off their nose to spite their face. How can any country thrive and grow with such a wicked mentality???

   • But with respect @ Marlon ghetto youth, there are those of us who have been lucky enough to have travelled extensively, had a good education abroad and want to stay and improve living standards here in Antigua & Barbuda.

     If every indigenous bred and born Antiguan adopted your ‘get up and leave’ attitude, this country would be even more overwhelming run with and by non-nationals.

   • @Marlon School is still the key. It’s good to get a certificate in something. It might become useful in the future at any time. There are many different things to study including the trades. Sometimes people have to take temporary jobs they don’t want, save and start their own business, or save and relocate, or save and get even more specialized education in a niche area, or wait for an opening in the area they studied for. Not everything happens right away. The hotel industry can be very profitable but our people don’t always get to rise up the ranks to the highest levels. I definitely would advise younger persons to consider jobs in any country. But, the other countries have their disadvantages as well. Even if you leave the country, you should still remember to give back to your homeland. You can ignore the politicians and just use some of your earnings and links abroad to directly help the other young people left behind start businesses etc. If everyone works together the country can be improved.

8. Whatever the plusses and minuses were for building that car park, it has been laying unfinished and unused for far too long. Government is continous and that building should have been completed ages ago and used in some constructive way. Given the amount of money that government spends in rental annually, a finished car park, whether used as was originally designated or changed to office buildings, could have saved government millions of dollars. Government needs to get smart and quit the politicking. Is our monies and assets you playing with!

It’s real hard to come to the realization that the other set of Antiguans called upp was on the right track of giving to the people and not about getting money for themselves when they build that car park, the ALP being a functionary of the white class would have avoid empowering the people, but now that project stay there long enough unfinished is embarrassing them as incompetent and not been able to do anything if substance for the people, so they hoping the millennials will forget who built it and waiting with baited breath to have their names celebrated like they did with the airport upp build, and the customs port which was negotiated by upp which I believe would have been more massive if upp had retain office. It would have had track driven shore crain which is more safe with all the deaths by accident at the port and efficient in off loading ships, but oops! A syrian family will make monies from their crain forever on the backs of the poor black Antiguans, Gaston and ALP is a functionary of white monopoly capital domination.

10. Marlon I feel your pain , don’t matter your age or if your are writing under disguise. Our governments don’t prioritize. They waste money on all sorts of nonsense like repairing someone private property to rent it to DCA puppets. Then there is the Alpha Nero monthly tens of thousands of USD dollars. They only make decisions to line them , their family and friends pockets – Black Hade.. Baba. By the way him in high place is now building yet another house. This house will be by far the biggest house in Antigua and Barbuda. Guess who is the contractor- Baba who don’t know if a plan is upside down or not – it’s just kick back that will lead to Jail time some day – some judgement day. Kool sponsoring everything is the next one. Antiguans are so foolish that they are lording them for using our own money to sponsor us. Ripping off the treasury all of them. None of their over priced contracts been to tenders board. All waver of tender. They are all still getting duty free and exchange of checks between them and him in high place. One crooked scheme.
    These black idiots call politicians prefer to give away billions in duty free, tax exemptions, Antigua Lands just to line their pockets. While the people of Antigua suffer.
    Look at the state of our hospital. Still cannot do a operation. Look at the water supply- a other rip of scheme in the making. Don’t tell me that we have to be doing another global port with our water system.
