Omar Rasool, a student at the University of Health Sciences Antigua (UHSA) from Ireland, is actively promoting touch rugby in Falmouth and beyond since arriving in January. He organizes weekly scrimmages on Thursday nights, aiming to involve both locals and expats in the sport. Rasool hopes to eventually form an Antiguan rugby team and see the country represented in regional competitions. During yachting season, participation can reach 40 players, fostering a strong sense of community. Rasool also plans a tour to another Caribbean island with an established rugby scene and is committed to educating young players, staying in Antigua until December 2025.
