  1. I’m lost for words at the appalling driving In Antigua.

Every single day you witness impatient drivers not stopping at give way signs when there are clear warnings informing them to halt.

Earlier today, I saw one driver overtake 6 vehicles in one go – is this a record. Madness!

WHY DO SO MANY BAD DRIVERS THINK THAT SPEED IS A SKILL, WHEN THEY HAVEN’T GOT THE TIME TO REACT WHEN SOMETHING GOES TERRIBLY WRONG?

Antigua is such a small island, know where is not too far away. Just slow down.

  2. 2 women seriously injured by presumably one man’s speeding, lack of focus, inability to read the road…
While MSJMC do their best for the 2 women, and I hope they pull through with health restored –

I hope the police have checked every aspect of this driver & his vehicle and lay initial charges quickly that include license removal ( if he had one).

  3. Time to start pulling all their licenses. Idiots feel they have right of way all the time and end up killing people and damaging property. Ban their rasses for life.

  4. Ok. So, this article did not go into great detail about the accident, so I am wondering how persons can assume who is wrong. Even going so far as to say they are presuming.

If you was there, state so and let us know we are getting first hand info. If you was not there please do not make assumptions.

    • No body on here is making any assumptions @ BJ, however, even you must admit that the driving in Antigua is abysmal to say the least, and if it was any of your kith and kin (God forbid), you would also demand better driving standards …

  5. The damage on the car clearly indicates that speeding was a factor for the truck driver.
If the truck driver wasn’t speeding there couldn’t have been that much damaged.

  6. I just brought a business partner to Antigua, and she said to me, “I am taking my life into my hands travelling on these roads in the daytime. At night, I’m on a #KAMAKASI MISSION!”

Law enforcement needs to address this vexing problem of DANGEROUS DRIVING on the road!
