Two new imported cases of COVID-19 in Antigua & Barbuda

The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Sir Lester Bird Mount St. John Medical Centre has revealed two (2) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Tuesday 27th July 2021 at 6pm.

The two (2) new cases are imported.

 

Ninety-one (91) samples were processed at Sir Lester Bird MSJMC.

Two (2) recovered cases were recorded increasing the total to one thousand two hundred and thirty-five (1235).

 

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is one thousand two hundred and ninety-five (1295); which is inclusive of seventeen (17) active cases.

 

There are three (3) mild hospitalized cases.

 

Meanwhile, thirty eight thousand and sixty-seven (38,067) first doses of the Covid-19 vaccines have been administered of which thirty thousand six hundred and forty-eight (30,648) received the second dose.

 

The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.

  1. WHO WILL BE TAKEN BEFORE THE COURT FOR IMPORTING THIS VERY DEADLY HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS PATHOGEN?

    THIS PATHOGEN IS FAR MORE DANGEROUS THAT ANY THING ON THE CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE LIST.

  2. It would be nice to get more information regarding new cases. For example, are the new cases from vaccinated or unvaccinated persons? Was variant are the new cases?

  3. So Antigua is now importing Covid-19.How do they know of imported and or local originated Covid-19.Is it guess work?
