Two million US dollars upgrade for Heritage Quay

CABINET NOTES:

The Cabinet was informed by the Minister of Tourism that Global Ports Holding (GPH) has submitted plans for the upgrade of Heritage Quay, at a cost of $2 million USD.

Plans for building-out the lower Newgate Street property have also been submitted but not yet approved.

Several million dollars will be spent on the new structures and the infrastructure that will be required to make the new shopping center work.

  1. Global Ports presented a plan of action.Whose monies would be used to do the upgrades? Are they footing the costs or the Taxpayers of Antigua and Barbuda paying to satisfy their needs. This Contract between Global Ports and Gaston Browne Administration is one of the more one sided contracts I have ever seen.
