  1. Young people need to abide my the curfew law. If you are not going to the supermarket and the pharmacy, or you are not an essential service workers. Stay home!! Stay home!! Stay home people Stay home please. $5000 is a lot of money in this hard time.
Those two guys that went up to the prison could a carrier of coronavirus. Did the authority run a text on them before sending them to prison? There are a lot of innocent people in that prison who are on remand waiting for their court hearing.

      • Thinking Antiguan: That is an assumption on your part. The story should have said that.I for one deal with facts not fiction. And I do not assume. If all persons committed the same crimes. There are options given to the Courts to adjudicate sentences. Caught breaking the curfew. The Court could fine you, fine you and jail you, jail you and not fine you.I also see where they give a slap on the wrists.Convict you, reprimanded you and discharged you.Why were those persons discharged without a fine. Isn’t that a double standard?

  3. So some confine, some pay and some reprimanded for committing the same offence?

No 1/3 off for first offence and another 1/3 for not wasting the court’s time etc….

According to the PM the court must consider the social situation in the country with thousands of people without an income Mr PM does that rule apply to the ordinary folks or just the 1%ers,,,,

  4. I hope they test these people before sending them to prison. If these people have the virus and take it into the prison it will be devastating. Not only the prisoners will suffer what about the officers they have to go home to their families also. Prime minister think before making these rational decisions. I think it should just be s fine

  5. The illiterate and the poor will be fined and incarcerated. Sad hearing that young people are jailed for the curfew violations and nothing is being done to the people who attended the party on the private island. I am all for social distancing and the reduction of the overall infection rate, but prison for 6 months for your 1st offense is a bit extreme. But then again, losing ones life to a virus is extreme.

  6. Are the police patrolling uptown villages too? Cause I usually take my smoke walks around 3 am in Hodgesbay.
