The women, identified as Alicia Ricketts and Renea Nelson, were denied entry upon their arrival at the airport. What followed was a scene of disorder, with Nelson becoming increasingly disruptive while in custody, creating chaos with her loud and unruly behavior.

The situation escalated when Ricketts assaulted immigration officer Tiffany Ramsey, tearing her uniform blouse in the process.

Ricketts later pleaded guilty to battery and was fined $400. She was also fined an additional $500 for resisting arrest. Nelson, meanwhile, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was fined $250.

Due to the seriousness of their actions, the Immigration Department successfully applied for their immediate deportation, which was approved by the court. Both women are to be sent back to Jamaica on the next available flight.

The case was heard in District B Magistrate’s Court, with Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel presiding.

  1. All country have laws but I guess they feel privileged because they know some one in Authority
Deport them Rass and never to return
These Jamaicans created Drama every where they go
Antigua need no more too many period

  2. No they won’t be deported, our stupid Antiguan men will run to the politicians to get it stopped, these Jamaican, Guyanese and Spanish woman got our men stupid because they are never accustom to have economic power over someone’s life, so they feel like god instead a realizing they are been used, if under E.C dollars them feel powerful supposed they were to see the power virgin islands men have over these woman where USD dollars is spend and American passport, and in the end these woman gives the men them a Portion that make them sick and internal organs fail and they end up with the property after marriage. These country ain’t have the capacity to do test like the virgin islands and jail them.

  3. Very good call! Deport them IMMEDIATELY! These are the behaviors they would have taken into your country which has the ability to create chaos wherever they go! This behavior encourages deviant behaviors and are likely to encourage crime and violence or even be involved in such. Distasteful and classless and such a poor representation of Jamaica as there are some beautiful people from Jamaica. No matter the nationality, Stop dem! Deport dem!

  4. As human beings and adults it is important to behave properly. They brought this on themselves and may not be able to travel for a while to anywhere.

  5. THIS IS THE Same way they treated their Consulate when they cant get their way…

Jamaicans are the worst.. what an unruly abd disgusting set a nearga

Well she left them high and try and posting her process from all over the world

    Deport dem R**ss 2by 2

  6. America, UK, and Canada needs to do the same to the Antiguans that are not contributing to their society. Antigua is and will never be for Antiguans if they keep leaving to have babies on other people’s land.

  7. I totally agree deport them rasshole sick of them and our own locals is worst as well our men skin up they face at Antigua woman because they like to say we don’t have ahit we poor n we this we that etc etc these ppl coming from Jamaica Guyana and all over and building and selling and taking over our islands as we sit back and watch them do it we don’t join forces and stand for what’s right we allow them so that’s their behavior I’m sick of them antiguans have to do better to get better

  8. They should’ve been jailed first and then deported. I am for freedom of movement between island, but at some point we need to start discussing the implementation of visas on Jamaicans. Not that I am singling out Jamaicans, but they seem to be causing the most trouble right now.

  9. From their faces alone, you can tell they are low class b*tches.
We have too many underprivileged Jamaicans here. Never had a pot to piss in back in Jamaica, from piss poor backgrounds and uncultured and they are accepted here.
    Smh.

  10. Antigua please wake up and start been Proactive adopt the Bajan way out them foo seeding and put them on the next flight back home
They are running away from their problems just to bring it to Antigua
No Sar get tuff jail them then deport them.
Am tired of every Nationality using Antigua as a stepping stone to enter America Canada and The UK
Stop it nip it in the ass b4 Antiguans start feeling the back lash for these trouble makers
Immigration do your job instead of asking Antiguans who living abroad how long you are staying in your own country

  11. Based on data and statistics, Jamaicans 🇯🇲 are “LAWLESS” people. 🇦🇬 Even with the Facts, dumb people with “SMARTPHONES” will still act delusional. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

  12. Jamaica dumpling their garbage on Antigua.
    No representation
    Because

    They are so lawless…

Get dem Rass out a yah….and shut down all dem party
Ebry night dem dey a upper church street …clean dem raassss up and pack dem on CARIBBEAN AIRLINES LOKE SARDINES….HATE DEM RASS

  13. While I have absolutely no problems with immigration officials taking drastic action for any breaches of the country’s immigration laws, all the recent arrest and deportation of Jamaicans would almost suggest a new and intense effort and might be interpreted as an assault and attack on Jamaicans in particular. This might have some negative, unfavorable and adverse implications between both Caricom countries and the whole notion of free movement.

  14. What you put out that you get immigration is there to protect there borders not to friend us. You think u can kick immigration in Jamaica

  15. Now if the immigration officer had barked her a hard slap she would’ve called it unfair brutality.

With all due respect, please go back where you came from. Try that there and see what happens to you.

    Safe flight over.

  16. Just approximately $1,000 they have to pay for all that. I’m sure just bring this case costs the government at least $5,000. I don’t even want to talk about the emotional distress on the immigration officer! Just to attend counselling would costs $500 a session and she would need a few. Holding these persons and deporting them would costs approximately $5,000. The government of Antigua and the citizens continue to have to bear the burden for unruly lawbreakers who come to cause trouble in Antigua.

Ricketts later pleaded guilty to battery and was fined $400. She was also fined an additional $500 for resisting arrest. Nelson, meanwhile, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was fined $250

  17. In most countries, assaulting an immigration officer would inevitably result in a prison sentence and then deportation but I guess the government didn’t want the headache or cost involved with that so a very cheap fine and expedited deportation was the alternative. At the very least, the fine should have been much higher.

Reading the comments here, the stereotyping and anti-Jamaican hate is not surprising but is still disappointing to read. Stay classy Antiguans.

  18. There is a set of Jamaicans who constantly make a lot of noice with their sound system on a sunday morning with no regards to the neighbors.

  19. After the arrests, they should be CHARGED with crimes from assault & battery to resisting arrest plus whatever else are applicable, PROSECUTED (maximum bail for plus monitoring fees from ankle bracelets, food, security. accommodations at the Base – charge five(5) star hotel prices).

Now, once found guilty (as far, as the reporting and [comments] go; there seems as if, all of the evidence (s) is pointing to a guilty verdict or they’ve already been found forGUILTY), again, cases like these MUST become REVENUE earners for the Nation.

The #FREE_MOVEMENT of Caribbean, and it seems like South Americans, as well is becoming [problematic]. One thing which will be helpful to individual Nation States, under the CARICOM FREE MARKET & MOVEMENT, of its citizens is – DATA COLLECTION & SHARING, as it pertains to crimes committed, arrested, prosecuted and found GUILTY of; in other words, ALL COURT RECORDS, must be readily available to ALL COURT SYSTEMS, at the tap of a button.
This is area which needs funding! Visas for those in the CARICOM Nations can become problematic, unless a Nation State exit the AGREEMENTS made to establish their presence, at the CARICOM EXECUTIVE MEETINGS.

The question now begs, can Antigua, Barbuda & REDONDA become like say, a Martinique or Guadeloupe? Will Gaston Browne Administration’s involvement with China be enough, to stabilize the Nation like France stabilised Guadeloupe and Martinique?

Any which way, FINES(monetary and incarceration) MUST be increased with a specific percentage going to establishing facilities and systems, to support law enforcement agencies.

  20. These two women got off lightly. Why

At a time why crime is at an all time high and the criminals have adopted the Jamaican anti social behavior and agendas.

Is this what PM Gaston Browne was complaining about recently, with the court giving slap on the wrist at sentencing?

The bigger issue is, what reviews are the judiciary subjected too?

It seems like the Attorney General only knows how to move swiftly when he wants to enact laws to take Barbuda lands.

Maybe that’s the reason why PM Brown moves quickly to meet with the gangs.

  21. Perhaps they did not get Cutie number yet……

They will probably get Cutie number before they leave and will reenter 268 in two weeks time….

  22. The penalties should’ve been severe. Most Jamaicans that come to Antigua are low lives and vagabond. That was utter disrespect to the authorities. Run dem out and band dem. Too much in de country ah ready.

  23. The problem in Antigua the politicians and friends like the nasty females from Jamaica, Guyana, Dominica, and Dominican Republic. These females get free passes into the country because the politicians will call immigration and tell them to let them in. These females are coming in seeing their best life. Never had a bathroom and don’t know what it’s to live in a house not zinc house and not outside pit toilets and having to bathe outside some don’t have a pit toilet so they sh$$ in plastic bags and they bring their nastiness to our country. They are scammers and load down no good. The government needs to implement a database so these two hood rats criminal elements will never return to our country and the person they were coming to should be deported also. These people come from nothing and found out our country is paradise and they badness can’t change so they messing up our country. Deport them scum our country should be visa accessible for people from these countries they should be vetted before we let these born criminals into our country. Slap them way when they commit crimes in our country they should be fatally arrested point blank and period.

  24. Dear Sharon let me tell you something we Jamaican come here for a better life money wise so story time none a uno Antiguans live better than we Jamaicans,go where we Jamaican come from and look how some Antiguans live we live better than you all
Now if the ladies come here and take the man Dem is because you ladies wasn’t taking care of you all me so stop talking about tek when man

  25. @Eldread
stop your fkry bout they won’t be deportedan Antiguan man gonna run to politicians u sound dunce asf!!! they committed a crime they will be charge an send home they never let them thru immigration how Antufuan men gonna go politicians these girls are prostitute I am Jamaican an I notvafraid to say send them bloodcl@@t back a yard no Jamaican in all history ever fight a immigration officer before we dnt even want these Gilligan on Jamaican soul because much as some Jamaican may bad an disrespectful we never fight the law in no country

  26. The thing about it, the white tourist is who demand our immigration look like clowns, they can’t stand the sight that giving us independence they have to go through armed immigration to return here, it is colonialism that keeps our immigration so mediocre, the hon Baldwin spencer had started arming immigration which was stopped when ALP won the election, if these same Jamaican could a go Puerto Rico they would be terrified at how armed and immigration officer is, and wouldn’t dare to play around much less kick, but I wonder if the other immigration stand up there and let that happen and don’t join force and rain down some licks in that Jamaican, or if she don’t have family and boyfriend to come at the airport to put some licks on the Jamaican, because deport can’t turn back the fact that she kick you. UPP is needed back in office to finish arming the immigration to international standards, but UPP need to rectify their leadership issue.
