Two Convicted on Firearm & Ammunition Charges

Alvin Spencer, 29 and Jason McLeod, 25 both of Swetes were convicted and sentenced to Her Majesty’s Prison on charges of Possession of Firearm and Ammunition in All Saints Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.

Spencer pleaded guilty to possession of one .25 pistol and six matching rounds of ammunition and was convicted and sentenced to one year for possession of firearm and three months for possession of ammunition.

Meanwhile, co-accused Jason McLeod pleaded guilty to possession of one .38 revolver and five matching rounds of ammunition and was convicted and sentenced to one year for possession of firearm and three months for possession of ammunition. Both sentences are to run concurrently.

Both men were among five people jointly charged by police, after they were found in possession of the illegal weapons during a search of their home in Swetes on Tuesday 4th February. The complaints against the other accused were withdrawn before the Court. Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel-Edwards presided over the matter.

    • @Rupert Mann..didn’t you see that I had corrected myself below my first post and said “Ooops wrong set of peeps? I mistook it for the other guys that was set free because not enough evidence . lol No worries..Maybe the correction also wasn’t posted by the time you saw my first post.
