Loop News – The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force officers are investigating a shooting incident that resulted in one male being killed and four others injured.
The incident took place today at around 12:51 am outside the Shisha Lounge located in Grace Bay, Providenciales.
Head of Crime, Safeguarding, and Public Protection Superintendent Dean Holden said:
“An incident occurred outside the Shisha Lounge during the early hours of this morning.
Preliminary reports gathered thus far have revealed that four males were leaving an entertainment establishment when they were shot at.
One male is dead and four other males received medical attention for injuries sustained from the attack.”
This remains an active investigation and inquiries are ongoing.
Acting Commissioner of Police Rodney Adams in condemning the attacks said:
“These criminals continue to show their brazenness and disdain and lack of respect for life.
The attack occurred against a targeted group in full view of innocent bystanders.
The RTCIPF will leave no stone unturned in pursuing and bringing these cowardly individuals to justice.
I am appealing to anyone who has any information, to please share it with the authorities”.
The public is being advised to notify the closest police station, 911 or TCI at Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 and give any information on this murder or any illegal activity anonymously.
