Truckers and Rig Operators Urged to Attend Crucial Port Authority Meeting
The Antigua and Barbuda Port Authority, in partnership with the Traffic Department of the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda, has scheduled a vital meeting for all truckers and rig operators. The session is set for tomorrow, Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. on the 3rd floor of the Port Authority’s Administrative Office Building.
This meeting comes in response to pressing traffic concerns at the Port Authority. Attendance is mandatory, and the Port Authority has emphasized that failure to attend could affect operators’ access to the facility.
The meeting will serve as a platform to discuss traffic management strategies and gather input from truckers and rig operators to address ongoing challenges. The Port Authority and Traffic Department are looking forward to robust participation and contributions from all stakeholders.
Operators are urged to take note of the updated meeting time and prioritize their attendance to ensure uninterrupted access to port facilities in the future.

High time something is done about those heavy duty vehicles, the backhoes too..
@ Stone, Don’t talk too soon, many of these heavy duty vehicles are owned in full or in part by the very people calling the meeting. These people in high places from the port are not only rig owners but also clearance agents owners competing with the likes of Jasco, Bryson’s and V.G. Edwards….a most unfair situation. What they do is put puppets as front men. CORRUPTION IS THE NORM IN ANTIGUA/BARBUDA
100 Percent correct. Including the Port Manger and Trucking Company turn Agent business partner.
Long time this meeting should be held. When they are coming through Liberta just imagine Liberta they drive the trucks like the driving Vitz and Fitz no horn sound to warn others and THE SPEED .Hope something good comes out of this meeting.
