As of 500 PM AST (2100 UTC), the storm’s center was located near latitude 13.4 North and longitude 59.6 West, about 15 miles (25 km) north-northwest of Barbados.
It is moving westward at a speed of 16 mph (26 km/h) with an expected increase in forward speed over the next few days.
A Hurricane Watch is currently in effect for St. Lucia, indicating the possibility of hurricane conditions within the watch area within the next 24 hours.
Additionally, a Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Dominica, St. Lucia, Martinique, Barbados, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Tropical storm conditions are expected within these warning areas within the next 24 hours.
