Tropical Disturbance AL95 Poses Little Threat to Leeward Islands and British Virgin Islands

268 Weather – Tropical Disturbance AL95 is currently moving westward and expected to pass south of the Leeward Islands and the British Virgin Islands early next week, according to the Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services.

While uncertainty remains regarding its strength and path, AL95 poses little threat to the islands.

Residents are urged to have their hurricane disaster plans prepared and closely monitor the situation.

Forecast models suggest AL95 could be at the nearest point to the area on Monday or Tuesday as a minimal tropical cyclone, potentially bringing storm-force gusts and hazardous seas.
