Trial Begins For Four Accused In Bruce Greenaway Murder

Bruce Greenaway’s cousin says his chin was spit in two and his left rib cage area appeared black and blue, when she identified his body at a Defence Force base at Clarence House on April 13, 2020.

Tricia Greenaway says the body had started decomposing but she could identify it by her cousin’s distinctive forehead, a trait she claims all the men in her family have.

She is the first witness to testify in the murder trial, which acting Director of Public Prosecutions, Shannon Jones-Gittens opened Thursday morning.

The prosecution alleges a police officer and three Defence Force soldiers murdered Bruce Greenaway April 9, 2020, with his body washing up in shallow waters at Indian Creek days later.

The defendants are police constable Jason Modeste, lance corporal Shakiel Thomas and privates Armal Warner and Aliyah Martin. (STATE MEDIA)
