
ECCB Recognises Individuals for Exemplary Service and Contribution to the Bank
13 December 2023, Basseterre, St Christopher (St Kitts) and Nevis – The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) has recognised and awarded several individuals for their exemplary service and contributions to the Bank over its 40 years’ existence.
The Governor of the ECCB, Timothy N. J. Antoine presented the awards at the ECCB’s 40th anniversary Gala and Awards Ceremony held at the St Kitts Marriott Hotel on 9 December.
The recipients of the ECCB’s 40th Anniversary Exemplary Awards are:
- Sir Kennedy Simmonds – For exemplary service and as the sole living signatory of the ECCB Agreement;
- Hon Dr Denzil L Douglas – For exemplary service to the ECCB: 1995-2015;
- Sir Errol N Allen (former Deputy Governor) – For exemplary contribution to the ECCB and people of the region: 1983-2005;
- Trevor O B Brathwaite (former Deputy Governor) – For exemplary service to the ECCB and the people of the region: 2006-2021;
- Lady Lynda Venner (spouse of late Governor, Sir K Dwight Venner) – For exemplary contribution to the ECCB: 1985-2015
- Charles Wilkin KC – For exemplary contribution to the ECCB as external legal counsel: 1983-2023
- Sir S W Tapley Seaton was awarded posthumously for exemplary legal services to the ECCB: 1980-2015. About the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank
