Application Open for Entrepreneurs to Apply for Free Training

The Office of the Prime Minister’s Entrepreneurial Development Fund is pleased to announce that the CARICOM Secretariat, in partnership with the Commonwealth Secretariat, has designed and developed the Aspiring Youth Empowerment Program (AYEP) to give young people the crucial skills and support needed to succeed in jobs or in setting up businesses.

The program will run for six months throughout the 2023 Commonwealth Year of the Youth – a seminal 12 months spotlighting and celebrating the 1.5 billion people under the age of 30 living in the 56 nations of Commonwealth.

This year, some 300 places are available for 18 to 35-year-olds on the scheme which starts on May 22, 2023.

 

To Apply

Applications open on April 28, 2023, and will close on May 12, 2023.  To apply, follow these three steps:

  1. Visit the Commonwealth website via thecommonwealth.org
  2. In the Search box type in “Entrepreneurial skills scheme for 300 Caribbean Youths” and click on the link Commonwealth and Caricom Secretariat running entrepreneurial skills scheme for 300 Caribbean youths.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “APPLY NOW”.

  1. I really hope our youth take advantage of this opportunity. It doesn’t come around that often to get free training in an entrepreneurial ship.
