Works: Construction Works by C.O. Williams on Valley Rd North and on Sir Sydney Walling Highway.

Ongoing works associated with the Government of Antigua and Barbuda Second Road Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project will result in traffic interventions on sections of Valley Road North (VRN) and along sections of Sir Sydney Walling Highway (SSWH) this week.

The contractor’s traffic management plans for this week:

Work on VRN:

  • There will be single lane traffic on VRN between the Chinese built bridge and the Nut Grove Junction.

  •  Elsewhere on VRN, beginning today (Tue) there will be single lane traffic at little Creek.

  • The contractor has indicated that there will be possible occasional traffic interventions on VRN in Jennings between the Jennings Supermarket and Jennings Secondary School. Work in the area will repair existing sidewalks.

Work on SSWH:

There will also be interrupted traffic on SSWH in Glanvilles to relocate boundaries.

The traffic interruption on SSWH will be from Pares Village working westward to facilitate drainage. Business and residents can expect a moderate to heavy downhill grade.

All traffic interventions will be controlled by flag persons. Road users are advised to proceed with caution when traveling in the work zones.
