The top official from the Ministry of Public Works has been transferred out of the department and the matter has now been brought before the Solicitor General, Martin Camacho.
This information was provided by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Clarence Pilgrim, who declined to comment further.
According to the office of the Solicitor General, the case was a client-counsel matter and that the details surrounding it could not yet be discussed.
When the news broke in early January, Acting Commissioner of Police, Atlee Rodney promised to deal with any reports of women experiencing such act post-haste.
Since then, it has been reported that several more women have come forward claiming sexual harassment and sexual assault at the hands of the top official.
Over a dozen female workers at the Ministry of Public Works security department were refusing to work with a top official there, claiming that they are being sexually harassed.
The workers have reportedly written around eight letters dated as early as January 19, 2019 to the Minister of Public Works, Lennox Weston, and the Permanent Secretary Clarence Pilgrim.
One security guard, who is a mother of three children, said that she fears for her life as the top official has beaten, choked and squeezed her.
The mother of three claims she took up a side job as a janitor at the man’s home, however, according to her he became obsessed with her and the relationship became physical.
A letter signed by Pilgrim was written in response, recommending that the top official be suspended and transferred however according to the women, the man remains in the same department behaving in the same perverse manner.

Not sure what the hell is happening here.

If this guy is guilty, he should not be transferred to another department. He should be transferred to 1735 immediately. Get him! Me Too Movement gonna bring down a whole lot of them. Bring it on.

I just realised that he could be innocent and his employees does not like the changes he implement. Humans can be that evil.
Something bout this story don’t add up. You scared but you ah go work regular job and he’s there. Then you go work part time at his home hmmmm something nuh right. Why she didn’t call police ehen he do them things to she so she could have it on record. Just don’t sound right.

The PS has made another blunder. First he did not report the matter to the police, secondly he transfered the problem rather than disciplinary leave.
