Top Caribbean Islands to Visit in March

1

March is only just around the corner. It is one of the best times of the year to visit the Caribbean, because temperatures are nice, but are not too hot. Every year, millions of people visit the Caribbean, mainly because of how beautiful its islands are. Most people are only familiar with Jamaica and Cuba, but there are many more islands in the Caribbean besides these, some of which are even more beautiful and historically rich than them.

This post will tell you about the top Caribbean islands you should consider visiting this coming March.

Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico is one of the most popular islands in the Caribbean, and for good reason. The food’s great in Puerto Rico, the people are also friendly, and the weather’s beautiful. There’s a lot to see and do there, so it should be at the top of your list of places to visit.

Antigua

Antigua is an island that’s sadly overlooked by a lot of people. That said, however, in recent years the island’s tourism sector has risen massively. Antigua also has great food, people, weather, and scenery. It’s somewhere you have to see before you die.

Trinidad and Tobago

Trinidad and Tobago are popular Caribbean tourist destinations. One of the main draws of Trinidad and Tobago is the food found there. It’s really great. It is a fusion of Indian and Caribbean cooking. It is unlike anything else you will find anywhere else in the Caribbean.

Jamaica

Jamaica, of course, is the most popular Caribbean island that there is. Everybody’s heard of it. Jamaican cooking is world-famous. However, the nation can be dangerous in places, which is why it’s best to stay at a resort if you are visiting for the first time and don’t know anybody there.

Cuba

Cuba, like Jamaica, can be dangerous. If you plan on visiting then make sure that you stay at a resort, or at least hire a guide. The nation’s capital city, Havana, is one of the most beautiful places in all of the Caribbean—it is definitely worth a visit.

Haiti

Haiti has a fascinating history. It was a French colony until the island’s many slaves overthrew the French colonialists, making it one of the first independent nations in the entire Caribbean. It is worth visiting and has a unique culture. That said, the nation is going through a period of political instability and violence is rampant, so wait until things settle down before visiting unless you intend on hiring a guide.

Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic is a place that’s overlooked by a lot of travelers. However, it is a fantastic tourist destination, with beautiful scenery, great weather, and lots to do. It’s somewhere to consider if you are planning on going away on vacation soon.

Saint Vincent

Finally, Saint Vincent is another beautiful island. It can be expensive to travel to Saint Vincent, so it might be worth visiting during the shoulder season if you want to save money.

As this post shows, there are lots of places worth visiting in the Caribbean. This list is really only the tip of the iceberg because there are many more not mentioned here. Give the islands here some consideration if you are planning a trip to the Caribbean.

  1. This was such a biased advertisement. Making other Caribbean countries look bad but antigua is ‘one of the best and a must see before one dies’. If Jamaica and Cuba were so dangerous why bother even add them to the list of top Caribbean countries? What you wrote about those 2 countries is contradictory to what your headline is? Haiti as well. You’re not from St.Vincent or Trinidad and Tobago so how would you know if they were safe to visit or not? People don’t die in those countries? Lol this site is a sick joke. Tearing down other countries just to make the less know ones known. Ridiculous.
