Timothy Anthony, man suspected of several Cassada Gardens break-ins, sentenced to prison

REAL NEWS: A man who has been terrorizing the residents of a Cassada Gardens neighbourhood has been jailed for larceny.’

Timothy Anthony appeared in the St. John’s Magistrates Court on Tuesday, June 27, before Chief Magistrate Joanne Walsh and pleaded guilty to break-in and larceny.

Anthony, who is very well known to the court, having several prior convictions for similar offences, was sentenced to six months at His Majesty’s Prison.

The Police arrested and charged the 30-year-old on Monday, June 26, for breaking into a Cassada Gardens house and stealing jewelry and an electronic device.

Reports say that, on June 22, Anthony broke into the home of Francis Bernard Nicholls and stole a gold wedding ring valued at $2,700 and a black Apple IPad valued at $3,252.

Apparently, the caper was caught on camera since the house he broke into is armed with a surveillance system.

It is alleged that Anthony had also broken into a number of houses on the same street, one of which is home to an elderly woman who lost her television set.
