Three new cases of COVID-19 in Antigua

The most recent reports received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Mount St. John’s Medical Center (MSJMC) and the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) have revealed three new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Monday 4th January 2021 at 6pm.

 

Subsequent to the publication of the dashboard for Monday 4th January 2020 with the cut off time of 6pm, ninety-two samples were processed at the Mount St. John’s Medical Center which increased the pending results from twenty-two to one hundred and fourteen.

 

All ninety-two samples processed by MSJMC yielded negative results and are reflected in the total persons tested and total samples taken columns of the dashboard.

 

Of the twenty-two samples processed by CARPHA, nineteen were negative and three positive.  

 

Meanwhile one new recovery has been recorded bringing that total to one hundred and forty-nine.  Seventy-five samples are pending at MSJMC.

 

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is one hundred and sixty-three (163); which is inclusive of nine (9) active cases.

 

The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.
