Thieves Vandalize Antigua and Barbuda Girl Guides Headquarters, Steal Supplies

The Antigua and Barbuda Girl Guides Association headquarters in St John’s was vandalized over the weekend.

Assistant Commissioner Sue Sharp discovered the break-in on Saturday morning, finding cupboards rifled through, items scattered, and a back shutter pried off.

Stolen items included ranger shirts, badges, pins, and cleaning supplies.

A camping tent and sashes were found discarded behind the building.

This is the second break-in in recent years.

The police are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or the Crimestoppers hotline at 800-8477.
