Reports say that a Skerritts Pasture man, the owner of a Factory Road business, telephoned the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and reported that his place had been broken into and ransacked by a known male.

Allegedly, by using a hard implement to pry open a southern door, the intruder had gained entry into the business. He then ransacked the premises and stole some sodas in the process.

A search was carried out for the alleged offender initially, but without success.

This offence reportedly occurred sometime between 6:22 p.m. and 11:50 p.m. on February 18.

Meanwhile, the principal of Kids Unlimited also contacted the CID, reporting that the school had been burglarized and its INET Internet box and $20 in cash stolen.

This offence reportedly occurred sometime between 5:30 p.m. on
February 27 and 7:15 a.m. on February 28 at Scotts Hill.

Reportedly, the intruder entered the principal’s office by removing five panes of louvre glass from a northern bathroom window.

The office was ransacked, as well as the Grade 2 classroom and the cafeteria.

The money and the Internet box reportedly were removed from the office and the classroom, respectively.
