Tenisha Sebastian, who survived the collision that killed former Airport Authority CEO Stanley Smith, is recovering after successful surgery in the United States.

Tenisha and her 6-year-old daughter reportedly suffered broken limbs and burns following Monday’s fiery crash in Florida.

Tenisha’s parents provided an update on Wednesday.

“She said that she get through with her surgery, okay and my granddaughter has to do one more surgery, which is today so I just waiting to see if she gets through safely with it,” Tenisha’s father, Patrick Sebastian said.

Her mother Deborah Sebastian said her daughter and granddaughter were on their way to Disney World when the blue Jaguar SUV crashed into a concrete column.

Tenisha and her daughter were in the back seat of the vehicle, which was being driven by Smith.

Surveillance footage showed the moment a passerby broke a glass window to rescue them from the burning vehicle.

“I saw the video before I get to speak with Tenisha so I was like squealing, squealing and say, my God, no, no, no. Don’t let this happen,” Deborah recalled.

“Like, two hours after, then I got to speak with her and she say mommy I know you’ll be very devastated…I’m in a lot of pain, but I’m okay, I’m alive,” she added.

The mother said she plans to travel to the US to be by her daughter’s side.

“She called me this morning in a lot of tears and say mommy, mommy, you have to be here, ’cause I don’t think I could make it without you being here. So, I tell her, well, just calm down… I’m trying my best to come up,” she said.
