Malachi Martin, the 18-year-old son of the late Kergus Martin, remains in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit at Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre. His condition has worsened since the shooting incident last week, which claimed his father’s life.

Kergus Martin was fatally shot when a masked and armed assailant opened fire on a group gathered under a tent near the end of Carnival festivities. The attack left four men injured, including Malachi, who sustained gunshot wounds to his chest. His father, who was also hit multiple times, did not survive.

Another victim, 29-year-old Wayne Knowles, has been moved out of the ICU and placed on the surgical ward. A 17-year-old was treated for injuries and released. The police continue to seek information from the public to aid in their investigation.
