The 18-year-old injured in the New Year’s Day crash on Anchorage Road has been flown to Trinidad and Tobago for further medical treatment.

Miguel Bourne sustained serious injures resulting from the crash and has been in a coma ever since.

The car he was driving was extensively damaged after colliding with an SUV on Anchorage Road.

Officials confirmed that Bourne is scheduled to receive treatment in Trinidad & Tobago but could not say how the medical expenses will be covered.

His friends recently started a gofund me page to meet the medical expenses estimated at 35 thousand United States Dollars.

Donors have so far contributed over $2,700 US dollars to the effort.
