The life of Antiguan Taitu Kai Goodwin was celebrated at an emotional memorial service in Anguilla on Sunday.
The service took place at the Mount Fortune Seventh-day Adventist church. Tributes were made in song, dance, and speeches all eulogizing the twenty-seven year old as a beacon of brilliance and warmth.
Her mother spoke glowingly of her daughter comparing her to one of the nine muses: the daughter of Zeus in Greek mythology.
“After her first stage show performance, Taitu was adamant that she wanted to be an actress. She was determined to play the part with her violin in Harry Potter, her favorite book series” her mother recalls.
Taitu Goodwin was fatally stabbed allegedly by her ex-boyfriend in the British overseas territory of Anguilla.
Her ex-boyfriend, Glenville Hodge, has been charged for the offence of murder of Taitu Kai Goodwin. He appeared before the Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday 10th September 2019 and was remanded to Her Majesty Prison.
