A Syrian national is being treated for gunshot wounds at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre following a robbery at his restaurant in Pares Village on Thursday night.
Police said the injured man, owner of Habile Restaurant on the Pares Main Road, was attacked during a late-night robbery at the business. Further details were not immediately available as investigations continue.
Emergency services responded and transported the victim to hospital, where he remains under medical care. His condition has not been disclosed.
Police have launched a full investigation. No arrests have been made, and authorities have not said whether cash or other items were taken.
