Swetes man dies in early morning crash

Cordell Simon, 26, of Swetes died earlier this morning in a road traffic crash.

The crash occured at about 3 a.m but the he was pronounced dead on the scene by a medical doctor around 4:15am.

According to the police, the white Toyota Allion motor car A46616 driven by the deceased, collided into a wooden utility pole on All Saints road in the vicinity of Lics Ltd.

It is alleged that he was traveling from West to East in a fast speed when he lost control of the vehicle and ran off the road.

  1. Police officers and traffic wardens, please go out at nights on the roads leading out of the city AT NIGHTS.
    You all pack up in st johns at day time.
    Records show speeding takes places at nights on the valley road, factory road, all saints road etc AT NIGHTS AT NIGHTS AT NIGHTS.
    Not 8am to 5pm

  2. Seems like they need to have a prayer session over in Swetes. That village name calling too fast in the news this year. Hope the churches in Swetes see the need for some serious intercessory prayers.

  3. Not nights only speeding happens in the country side. I decided to take a nice drive to the old road areas the other day and many times I had to pull aside to avoid anyone colliding into my car. I am a young person I’m not old and I have good driving skills. The taxi men especially its like the tourists dem r run way…

      • It is hard to drive at a high rare of speed in Antigua with all those curves i was born in Antigua and i’m scared to drive there. I’m living is Austin Texas if some one want to drive fast here is where you can our speed limit is as high as 85 miles per hour i drove it almost every day and don’t get scared like in Antigua, now i say to all you young people in Antigua slow down your Roads is not build for speed like those here in Texas. I’m just putting it out there
