Stuti Kashyap Claims Silver; Promising Debuts for Simmons and Loague at Caribbean Youth (U15 & U19) Championships

Bridgetown, BarbadosAntigua and Barbuda’s young table tennis athletes delivered an inspiring performance at the 2025 Caribbean Regional Youth Championships, held April 20–26 at the Sir Garfield Sobers Sports Complex.

Stuti Kashyap led the way, claiming a brilliant second-place finish in the Girls’ U19 Singles.

With composed and skillful play, the 16 year old Kashyap advanced through the group stage and knockout rounds, defeating strong opponents from across the region before finishing as runner-up in a spirited final.

Her silver medal performance highlights her growing reputation as one of the Caribbean’s rising stars.

Mekhi Simmons and Barrington Loague also made encouraging international debuts.

Though they did not advance past the early rounds, their determination, adaptability, and positive attitude made their participation a true success, laying a strong foundation for future growth.

Special recognition goes to Aleena Edwards of Trinidad and Tobago, who served as coach and chaperone for Stuti, providing critical support and expert guidance throughout the competition.

Tritia George, serving as Team Manager, ensured smooth logistics and provided invaluable leadership to the team.
