According to preliminary reports, two students engaged in an argument that quickly escalated into a physical altercation.

It is alleged that during the fight, one of the students used a knife to inflict wounds on the other student’s head and arm.

Shockingly, both students involved are said to be cousins. The mother of the injured student came forward to report the incident to the police this week, prompting an investigation into the matter.

Meanwhile, at West Bus Station, another violent incident occurred on Wednesday of this week.

According to reports, a 15-year-old student from Otus Comprehensive School was detained after allegedly attacking another student with a machete.

The accused student was taken into custody by the police but was subsequently released into the care of his mother.

However, the injured student remains hospitalized due to the severity of the attack.

Law enforcement agencies are currently conducting investigations into both incidents to determine the circumstances surrounding the violence and to ensure appropriate action is taken.

The incidents have sparked concern among the community regarding the safety and well-being of students within the school environment.

Authorities urge anyone with information regarding these incidents to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigations.

Measures to prevent such violent altercations in the future are also being discussed among school officials and community leaders.

  1. Ministers of education and social transformation DO SOMETHING SOON or NOW!!!! DO WE REALLY WANT A CHILD MURDER ON OUR HANDS??? Take your heads out of your proverbial laps and start the process of getting these kids the MAJOR help they need!!!

  2. These children don’t care. Is anyone of them involved a Chinese, Syrian or white pickney? I bet NOT. Have we ever wondered why?? It is too often and too predictor y . And, is it the police who is responsible for keeping the parents of victims informed about progress of any of these incidences that are up for persecution? Should these violators still be able to remain in the school system, or do they just get a pat on the back? Should a law be passed to charge parents of these underaged violators? I need these questions answered because I am as mad as hell. I am a parent of a victim.

  3. Y’all didnt mention that the incident at West bus station occurred because of 4 males attacking the 15 year old so as a result the 15 year old retaliated not condoning his actions but what would any one of yall do if u was being beaten by 4 boys

  4. Where are the fathers of these boys? They need guidance but I guess parents lifestyles cannot mould these children the right way, send them to Sunday school early, keep them in church, go with them don’t send them, satan as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour, pkease parents can’t you see children need your attention? Your love? Your approval. Let’s change the next generation for positive purpose.

  5. Everywhere you look, society is slowly breaking down.

You only have look at the pillars of authorities that have broken down:

Our CHURCH leaders are eerily silent.

The POLICE commissioner knows there’s a problem, but for some unknown reason he mout’ zip-up!

Good PARENTING! What has happened? Have we spared the rod, and spoilt the child?

There needs to be a mass recruitment drive for more TEACHERS, that not only teach well, but can also be good mentors. The government can fo more in this crucial area.

The JUDICIAL system seems to have fallen away as well, under the tutelage of the Attorney General, with so many court cases being delayed for months
    and years. Why?

And POLITICIANS. That term now needs to be changed (maybe to politricksters), because the current crop aren’t fit for purpose. With the wrong financial investments; transparency is a no-go area; self-enrichment is rife; nepotism is tearing the country apart; and cronyism continues to divide the rich from the poor.

I can’t put my finger on where it started to go wrong, but we didn’t help ourselves but putting the ABLP back in office on January 18th 2023, after 40 wasted years of Birdism and Browneism.

WE SEEM TO BE REAPING WHAT WE HAVE SOWN …

  6. Well, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the new society we have sat back and allowed our Government to systematically create for our children. Though this is not solely on the Government I think they’ve played a crucial role in it but first of all we need to look at the fathers of these children. Where are they, who are they and who’s playing the role? Black parents need to stop confusing loving their children and spoiling their children because it’s not the same thing. To the fathers out there engaging in all sorts of foolishness then believe you can get away with just buying your son whatever he wants and that is love, get a grip. If you can, spend some real time with your sons, teach them the value of having respect for themselves and others and not being nuiscances, society and show them a path to being a good contributor to their society. Like someone said in an earlier post, where are the Chinese kids, Syrian kids and white kids in all this melee? They’re not involved because they’re not the target, we are. Those kids that don’t look like us are being lined up whether they want to or not, to run every single business in this country for the foreseeable future so they have no time or be staging their own destruction. Destabilizing the black home has been in the agenda for ages and this won’t stop while we depend on Government to change it as they’re all part of the agenda directly or indirectly. Fathers do your part,. Mothers participate and not challenge every good they try to do with their sons. You can do it!

  7. 1) To avoid toxic relationships that end in single parent households, men and women need to stop chasing just whoever is around that is single. Instead, stop and think about what your lifestyle and beliefs are like and only pursue persons who have similar beliefs and practices. Less conflict mean less separation and happier families and children.
    2) Teach young people to do #1.
    3) Greet everyone and treat everyone politely, but have close friendships only with similar families. Don’t try to force neighbours or their children with a different lifestyle to do things your way.
    4) Teach your children to do #3.
    5) Don’t make fun of people (strangers, neighbours, coworkers) who are different than you. Instead, appreciate that each person’s difference is important to the proper functioning of society.
    6) Teach children to do #5.
    7) A lot of conflict in society is caused by people not wanting to accept other people’s right to be or do things differently and trying to force others to fit the same mold as them so they can feel good about themselves. Although we should all strive to be the best version of ourselves, remember that you and everyone else are special just the way you are.

  8. Discipline. It’s all about Discipline and the governments of this world has put laws in place, that makes it hard for parents to Discipline their children. We grew up in a Disciplinary society, where a child knows certain actions may leads to Discipline, so he goes to school take in what his or her teachers teaches, return home, school home work, then house work, some may have a trade to go to, others music, typing, library etc others to the play ground, keeping in mind the Disciplinary time to be in the house. In Primary school a Principal stood at the door with a belt looking out for the late comers, you get a taste one time and you learn not to be late again, which sticks to you all in Secondary school, college and work. Our society today is without Discipline period. It’s not about fathers being at home, most of the time mom is the Disciplinary committee all by herself, dads seldom perform such acts, but today moms are now scared of their sons and daughters decide to go missing. Think about it back then parents and even neighbors could Discipline children with no resistance, plus we had Skeritt which was the biggest Disciplinary structure with these boys all dress in white lined up two by two heading to church on Sunday mornings. Today, parents can’t, teachers can’t, churches is all about money and confusing to the young mind, government have nothing in place other than turning them over to the same parents that have no powers in the first place, so here we are, gangs, bullies and a smoke.
