Stubbs-Green wins another Carifta medal for Antigua and Barbuda

Antigua and Barbuda’s Ethan Stubbs-Green swam his way to a second medal in just two days at the Carifta Swimming Championships being held in Barbados.

Competing in the Boys’ 13-14 category, Stubbs-Green registered a time 2:01.95 to claim bronze in the 200 meter freestyle event earlier today. He finished behind St. Lucia’s Tristan Dorville (2:01.47) who won silver and Trinidad & Tobago’s Zachary Anthony (2:01.11) who claimed the gold medal.

Antigua and Barbuda’s Tivon Benjamin registered a fifth place finish in the same event.
The bronze medal comes just 24 hours after Stubbs-Green registered a time of 58.22 seconds to claim 100 butterfly gold in the boys’ 13-14 age category.

He finished ahead of Dorville (58.45) of St. Lucia and Jamaica’s Brady Macpherson Lewison (59.24).

There was also a top five finish for Ellie Shaw in the Girls 13-14 200 meters breaststroke as she clocked 2:57.73 to end in the number five slot also on Saturday. — OBSERVER Newsco
