St. Philip North Records Surge in Voter Activity Ahead of By-Election
St. Philip North recorded significantly higher electoral activity than any other constituency during the week of Feb. 23–28, according to the Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission’s latest official report, as the constituency prepares for a March 16 by-election.
The Commission’s Week #81 report shows St. Philip North logged 156 transactions over the six-day period — far surpassing all other constituencies across the country .
The daily totals for St. Philip North were 36 on Feb. 23, 28 on Feb. 24, 42 on Feb. 25, 34 on Feb. 26, 16 on Feb. 27 and four on Feb. 28, reflecting sustained activity throughout the week .
By comparison, no other constituency reached even 20 transactions for the week. St. George recorded 13, St. John’s Rural East 12 and All Saints West eight, while several constituencies reported little to no activity .
The report also indicates there were 234 replacement applications and 55 new applications processed nationally during the same period .
The concentration of activity in St. Philip North comes as political campaigning intensifies in the constituency ahead of the upcoming by-election. Replacement applications typically involve voters updating or reissuing identification cards, while new applications reflect first-time registrations or recent eligibility.
The Electoral Commission’s weekly breakdown underscores the heightened focus on St. Philip North as parties mobilize supporters and residents finalize their voter registration status in the lead-up to polling day.

Is the Electoral Commission making certain that voters are not coming from outside the constituency to register, what guarantee can they give that it is not happening. They should be able to do so. You all were told barefacedly that it happened in the last elections. Remember you are dealing with an Organization with no morals. St. Philip’s North needs a fair process
RALLYING CALL #7
I am hoping and praying that the ABEC team are monitoring these re-registering of voters for the upcoming St Phillip’s North by-election.
However, you can look at these surges in two ways:
1) The constituents now want to see the end of ABLP’S 50 years of neglect and rid themselves of Gaston Browne’s overriding autocratic leadership.
2) Hopefully, there is nothing untoward going on with this unusual re-registering, because in past elections there was much rumours murmurings about gerrymandering.
ABEC will definitely have their work cut out in this SPN by-election, but they seem up to the task if there’s any shenanigans afoot.
We must trust them implicitly!
Constituents of St Phillip’s North, the fight for the “SOUL OF OUR COUNTRY” will be in your hands on the 16th of March.
We trust that you’ll vote for change.
RALLYING CALL #8 ah come…
The ALP candidate even ask a person who has the mind of a 9 year old to present themselves at the registration center to get a voters ID, and the lesser ambitious young men who sits on the block and smoke daily is supplied with pot and food to cook on the street every day now and not encourage to go learn a trade and get work. Randy is going to keep them down just like robin did for 50 years.
