18-year old J’Dinique Prince is the new Miss St. Paul. She emerged the overwhelming favourite in a competition held at the Liberta Sports Complex on Sunday night.

Prince won four of the five judged categories in the competition as well as one of the unjudged categories. She was the winner in the swimwear, performing talent, evening wear and question and answer segments. She won in the people’s choice category, making it a near clean-sweep in a competition that included four other contestants.

For her main prize, Prince will receive a one-year scholarship to the Antigua and Barbuda International Institute of Technology or at ABICE. She will also receive a 32-inch flat-screen television, a bedroom set along with other prizes donated by the parliamentary representative, Hon. E.P Chet.

The first-runner up prize went to Tatiana Baron while the second-runner up prize went to Delekha Weste. Baron will receive a refrigerator and a microwave and Weste will receive a four-burner stove as well as a toaster over.

Show organizer, Azara Lavia said the pageant aims at helping with the overall development of the contestants. She added that this is the second instalment of the show. She also thanked representative Greene for his unwavering support for the pageant, noting it would not have been possible without his involvement.

Prince will represent St Paul in the annual Labour Queen Pageant held as part of the 2020 Labour Queen show.
