ST. LUCIA – OAS Representative Assigned To St. Lucia

St  Lucia now has a resident representative to the Organization of American States (OAS).

Lilly Ching Soto, recently presented her letters of credence to the Minister responsible for External Affairs, Sarah Flood Beaubrun.

The Costa Rican native has been working with the OAS since 1999.

She has worked extensively on human rights issues with the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights at the OAS and her most recent position was the Principal Human Rights Specialist on that commission.

The OAS was founded on April 30, 1948, for the purposes of regional solidarity and cooperation among its member states.

It comprises 35 independent states of the Americas and is headquartered in Washington, D.C.
