The Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis the Honourable Dr. Timothy Harris has extended heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Gaston Browne and his Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party on its landslide victory in the March 21 general elections.

The ABLP scored a crushing victory over the Harold Lovell-led United Progressive Party (UPP) and the Democratic National Alliance (DNA) led by Joanne Massiah after winning 15 of the 17 contested seats.

Prime Minister Harris wrote in a congratulatory letter to Prime Minister Browne the following:

Your re-election to high office by an increased margin is a strong vote of confidence in your leadership at the helm of the Antigua & Barbuda Labour Party. It is also a reflection of your firm commitment to nation building, and the growth and development of your beloved native land, in the face of myriad challenges ushered by current global realities.

“[I look forward to working with you on] regional, hemispheric, and multilateral levels as we seek to improve the lives of the people we have been elected to serve.

“May God Almighty continue to shine his grace upon you and all the people of Antigua and Barbuda in all your future endeavours.”

The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party won 15 seats, gaining one more seat than the party did in the previous election of 2014.
