A locally-owned jewlery store on Port Zante was robbed around mid-day Monday, by a person wearing a mask, a requirement mandated under the COVID-19 State of Emergency Regulations.
“I knew it was not going to be long before theives hide behind these face masks to rob. My store at Port Zante is where the incident happened moments ago. A young man pretended to be trying on jewelry and ran out the door with the two items of gold,” A. U Browne, owner of First Class Jewelry Store.
The store carries a variety of gift items including custom made gift baskets as well as world-class handbags, gold and silver jewelry, genuine perfumes, watches, gemstone items and fresh water pearls.
