Antigua and Barbuda has been blessed with many clubs who function independently of each other to serve the community,  yesterday however;  Rotary Club of Antigua Sundown and the St John’s Lodge showed how oneness in mind and purpose can prove beneficial to those in need.

During a brief handover Rotary President Julian Wilkins accepted a check which was handed over by Immediate Past Master Lt. Col. Edward Croft.

The donation of $9,450.00 was given to form a part of an ongoing Club project to focus on Disease Prevention and Treatment and Water Sanitation.

According to Lt. Col. Edward Croft, having seen the efforts of the club to promote proper hand washing and good hygiene within many of the nation’s schools and Public Library, his organization felt the call to make a contribution to further the efforts and at the same time foster friendly relations between the organizations and make a positive impact on society.

In his response, President Julian expressed a heartfelt thank you to the Lodge and was most delighted that together both organizations can come together to expand on a meaningful venture.  Giving to Rotary is positioning yourself to being a integral link in a chain of persons who lives the live “Service Above Self”
