Speculation is mounting that the United Progressive Party (UPP) may face yet another high-profile resignation, with Dr. Philmore Benjamin rumored to be the latest member considering an exit. Well-placed sources suggest that Dr. Benjamin has already signaled his intentions, though efforts to reach him for comment have been unsuccessful.
This potential departure follows closely on the heels of Dr. Edmond Mansoor’s resignation, who recently parted ways with the UPP after voicing discontent with the party’s leadership. Dr. Mansoor’s exit marked a significant loss for the UPP, and with rumors of more resignations circulating, the party appears to be navigating a difficult period.
The string of resignations over the past few months highlights ongoing internal challenges, raising questions about the party’s cohesion and leadership stability. Should Dr. Benjamin follow through, it would further test the UPP’s resilience ahead of future political battles.

Is it true that the ‘good doctor’ wants to replace ‘a candidate’ in the upcoming election and ‘cold water’ is being poured on this suggestion (lol)?
Asking for a friend.
no. nothing go so. The problemn is the Lipstick Hag and her pompous, prideful, arrogant, elitist, hoity-toity behaviour.
Sometimes you need what you called a cleansing process and this usually happens when you are in opposition. Person find a great deal of fault to distance themselves from loser. If you don’t believe check out West Indies cricket team not much followers like when they use to win.
Stop the hemorrhage, UPP! Get rid of the man-john, toss out those useless dumbells like Serpent, Shuggy, Pringle, distance yourself from the impotent noise makers – rhe Quinn sisters, Defreitas, Alister (is he still alive?) and remove the double-murderer as deputy leader(!!!) of your party, Then and only then might you have a 5% chance of regaining governance of this fair land. Begging Joanne Massiah to return to take over the leadership of the party with Richard Lewis as her Deputy, and Shawn Nicholas as a 2nd Runner-up might give THE UPP a 20% chance at governance, up from the current 1% they now have. Time to face the truth.
who on earth is the “man-john” you want to get rid of?
Come on, Mr Editor. The PM called on nation’s Egg producers to RETHINK this plan to force consumers to pay more foe eggs. You seem to love that particular file-photo of the Hon. PM! 🤔🤔🤔
all the WEAKLINGS can go, but the strong black woman will remain at the helm!
@Smooth… It looks like it might be she one leave back…
Is/Was he High Profile? I didn’t even know he was a member!
@Smooth. Hear! Hear! Hear! That is what they want. Stay right dey!!! Madame. Once you remain there, their mission is failed.
need someone charismatic like the Hon. Franz DeFreitas to take charge! Mr. Pringle is too laid back and reactive instead of proactive. Franz is bold and fearless and not afraid to call a spade a spade.
Too many people exiting under Mr. Pringle’s leadershit
@Faithful National #1
Seems you want to get rid of all the elected UPP MPs. Why don’t you call yourself faithful red Kool drinker, because that is who you are.
@Asking
so no more pap smear offered by UPP?
Notice it’s all men leaving. They are so weak and insecure in their masculinity….they FEEL THREATENED by the Chairman
It’s hard for seasoned politicians or people of certain ideology to stay the course of a learner as their superior, and all we do is conflate the issue with ethnicity about strong black woman as if attributes to African status, I really think if Pringle have not been touch by the taste of power, he would a come down off that fake high host which in the first place he should have been humble and not got up in the first place if wanting to be leader of a political organization without any ideology or historical groundings, Richard Lewis would a have a hard time building momentum much less to Pringle.

@Hmmmmmmm
Some mothers made a big mistake by flushing only the tampons.
Who is this person? Never even heard of the guy. So why is this,another weekly bash UPP, allegations of others leaving, calling this man,”high profile?”
Again ANR publishes the now weekly goings on in UPP, and never anything about the serious sufferations of the citizenry. So, I will publish a list.
1. Haven’t had water in TWO WEEKS. This is unhealthy, unsanitary and downright cruel. Is APUA broke? Has the DAWG rinsed them out once too often to pay the Chinese?
2. The classrooms are unbearable. This government bragged about AC in all schools going back to the bi-election in SMS. What happened?
3. APUA pulled a fast one to raise much needed funds then lied(Melfraud) about it. Yet instead of standing up Antiguans cowered like the cowards they are.
4. We’re 220 million in the hole at the year’s halfway mark. Not a peep from the DAWG about what happened, just BS about fastest growing economy?
Look,the list is long,but this to touch the surface.
Let those who put their hands to the task of removing ALP from office and turn back, go. We need a few good men to take up the fight of saving this country, and no traitor, flip-flopper, prostitute or deflector is worthy of this noble task.
