Soup Kitchen Break-In Prompts Police Investigation and Community Concern
Police have launched an investigation following a break-in at the Soup Kitchen on Lower All Saints Road, which State media reports say resulted in the theft of more than $1,500 worth of food, groceries, and two cooking gas cylinders.
The incident, which also left damage to the facility’s door locks, has disrupted vital services provided to vulnerable members of the community.
According to authorities, the focus of the investigation is a man recently released from prison after serving time for similar offences. The development has reignited concerns over the safety and security of community support centres.
Staff and volunteers are now working urgently to replace stolen goods and resume normal operations. Many in the area rely on the Soup Kitchen for daily meals and assistance.
Despite the setback, the organisation has vowed to continue its work. Police are urging anyone with information related to the break-in to come forward.

So because it’s a Soup kitchen security fixtures and systems are not required? and when a security alarm goes off, isn’t the system set up to trigger an alarm at the connected security office in order for prompt assistance, either by them or police? all these break in, some even on camera and it’s like they unstoppable.
They are unstoppable because we have very soft policing, and a very inept judicial system in Antigua. Call a spade a spade.
This administration can’t get the job done, simple as that.
And I know many will come on here and say ” oh this is happening all over the world” well that’s as ignorant as we can get, because there are many nations who have taken crime prevention seriously.
Look at the very same Arabs Gatson Browne is selling off the peoples land to..look at El Salvador and what measures that administration has taken. Look at what Trump is doing right now.
And oh, I live in a community where we have a local sheriff who’s name is revered throughout the state.
So don’t tell me crime cannot be subdued.
