Some staff members of the Antigua and Barbuda Social Security Board have stopped performing their duties in protest of a manager.
They allege that the manager assaulted a female employee some time ago but no action was taken against him.
The exact nature of the assault is not known.
The action had only a limited impact on the board’s operations as some customers are still being served.
The aggrieved workers have met with their union and will meet again tomorrow to determine whether the action should continue.
