The employment future of St. John’s Development Corporation employee accused of theft last year remains in limbo.

The woman has been out of office since November 2016 after a $30 shortfall in her accounting resulted in an allegation of theft being leveled against her.

While she’s been home the board of directors recently offered her a severance package of about $4000.

According to our source, the board has threatened to suspend the woman’s weekly pay if she does not accept the severance.

It’s been weeks and according to our source, the SJDC chairman has not responded to demands made by the woman and her representative.

An investigation last year vindicated her of the theft but she was sent back home two days after returning to work and has been waiting to go back to work ever since.

Her employment status was also subject to protest last year after reports surfaced that she received a pay hike after the investigation.

Her SJDC colleagues stopped working until the woman was sent home.

Our source says a particular employee is trying to destroy the young lady for reasons unknown.
