
The six-year-old, who was hit in the head by a stray bullet while standing next to his mother on Charles Street, Charlestown, five days ago remains in a critical condition in the Georgetown Public Hospital.
His mother Keisha Gustave, a 39-year-old food vendor at 11 Charles Street, Charlestown, yesterday told Stabroek News that her son underwent surgery recently for the injury and he is on life support in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) department of the hospital.
Meanwhile, in relation to the suspect’s arrest, the Regional Commander, Assistant Commissioner Simon McBean yesterday said that no one has not been arrested as yet and as such, investigation are still ongoing into the shooting incident.
