Six new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda

The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Mount St. John Medical Centre (MSJMC) has revealed six (6) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Friday 26th March 2021 at 6pm.
These new cases were as a result of one hundred and eighty-one (181) samples processed by MSJMC.
Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is one thousand one hundred and twenty-eight (1128); which is inclusive of three hundred and sixteen (316) active cases.
Meanwhile, the total number of individuals vaccinated remains at twenty six thousand four hundred and twenty-four (26,424).
The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.

  1. The CDC has recommended LOWERING the number of PCR test amplification cycles.
    Is Antigua following this guidance?

    When the amplification cycles go down, so do the POSITIVE PCR RESULTS!
    So, are we for some reason keeping the ‘CASES’ artificially inflated ????
